Advantages of the UV-LED technology

 

The LED technology also has several advantages in the area of UV-radiation sources compared to conventional light bulb systems such as mercury-vapor-lamps, xenon lamps or halogen lamps.

 

We want to list these advantages fo the UV-LED-Lamps below:

 

• much higher efficiency (lower energy consumption)
• less heat development
• no harmful and dangerous UV-B and UV-C radiation, even with defective filter glasses
• immediate availability of the full light intensity immediately after switching on
• can be switched off and on again at any time
• low proportion of white light
• long durable lifetime
• low mechanical sensitivity
